Using the maker
I closed the tab and my settings are gone.
Unless “Remember my settings on this device” was ticked or you saved a plan file, they lived only in that tab. There is no copy anywhere: we never had one. It takes a minute to set them again.
The maker says some days ask more time than we gave.
Job times are rough estimates, so a few minutes over is ignored; the warning appears only when a day is clearly too full. Give that person more time, choose “Keep it running”, pick “A little every day”, or add a helper. The schedule still prints as it is.
A job went to someone I did not expect.
Jobs go to whoever is old enough and has the most time left that day, and daily jobs change hands every week. Change someone’s time or days off and the schedule rebuilds itself.
It says “nobody old enough” for a job.
Some jobs, like cleaning the oven, need a teen or an adult. Add one, or do those jobs together.
Where do I write the dates?
The PDF weeks are numbered 1 to 4 and repeat. Write the dates next to the week title, or use the calendar file, which starts on the date you pick.

How do I add the calendar file?
On a phone or a Mac, open the downloaded file and choose the calendar. In Google Calendar, use Settings, Import on a computer. Each person can import their own file.
The cells are small when printed.
Print at actual size on A4 or US Letter, landscape for the week pages. A household of more than four gets a second page for each week, so the rows stay readable.
The PDF will not build.
Try the free preview first; if that fails too, the browser is probably very old or in a restricted mode. Try a current Safari, Chrome, Edge or Firefox, or another device with your plan file.
Where did the PDF go?
To your browser’s downloads, named Cleaning-Schedule-… with the paper size in the name. On a phone, look in the Files app (iPhone) or the Downloads folder (Android).
Some characters show as question marks.
The schedule uses one font chosen for legibility; a few rare characters or emoji are outside it and are replaced by “?” rather than silently dropped. Rewrite those words in plain letters.
Buying and the unlock
I paid but the download still says preview.
The unlock is per device. Open the link from your confirmation email on the device you are using; it unlocks there. No email? Get the link again at Lost your link? using the email you paid with.
I want to use it on another computer too.
Open the same unlock link there. It works on more than one device for two years.
